Klipstars Private Limited · Effective date: 21 March 2026 · Last updated: 1 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Klipstars Private Limited (“Klipstars”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our website at klipstars.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable laws. Please read this policy carefully before submitting any information to us.
1. Who we are
Klipstars Private Limited is an influencer marketing platform that connects Indian micro-influencers (“creators”) with D2C brands and agencies. We operate the website klipstars.com, which includes a Creator Hub (for creator profiles and account management), a Brand Studio (for campaign creation and creator discovery), and a weekly newsletter called The Klipstars Brief. Our registered address is House No. 81, Block B, Pocket 9, Sector 4, Rohini, Delhi – 110085. You can contact us at hello@klipstars.com for any privacy-related queries.
2. What data we collect and why
We collect different types of data depending on how you interact with our platform:
When you sign in with Google (creators and brands):
- Your name and email address — received from Google when you authenticate via Google Sign-In. We use this to create and identify your Klipstars account. We do not receive or store your Google password, and we do not access Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service.
For creators who complete their profile in Creator Hub:
- Instagram handle and YouTube channel — to display your public social media presence to brands
- Primary niche, city, follower count, engagement rate, language, and starting rate — to help brands find creators that match their requirements
- Short bio and sample content links — to help brands evaluate your content style and quality
For brands who complete their profile in Brand Studio:
- Company name and brand website — to identify your brand to creators
- Industry, target audience, and campaign preferences — to match you with relevant creators
- Campaign details when you create campaigns — visible to creators you choose to share them with
For all website visitors:
- Browser type, device type, and IP address — collected automatically via standard web server logs for security and analytics purposes
- Pages visited and time spent — to understand how visitors use our website and improve the experience
3. How we use your data
- To display your creator profile to brands and agencies browsing the Klipstars directory
- To send you The Klipstars Brief newsletter every Tuesday (only if you have given explicit consent)
- To notify you of brand interest in your profile or new platform features
- To verify the authenticity of creator profiles before making them live
- To improve our platform, website experience, and newsletter content
- To comply with legal obligations under Indian law
We will never use your data for purposes not listed above without first obtaining your explicit consent.
4. Newsletter subscription
The Klipstars Brief is a free weekly newsletter. When you register as a creator or as a brand representative on Klipstars, you are given the option to subscribe to this newsletter. Subscription requires your active consent via a checkbox on the registration form — we do not pre-tick this box.
You may unsubscribe from The Klipstars Brief at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter email. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not delete your creator profile from the platform.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Brands and agencies on Klipstars — your creator profile information (name, handle, niche, city, follower count, engagement rate, bio, and sample links) is visible to brands and agencies who access the Klipstars directory. This is the core purpose of the platform and you consent to this when you register.
- Google — we use Google Sign-In (operated by Google LLC) for account authentication. When you sign in, Google shares your name and email address with us. Google's Privacy Policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Supabase — we use Supabase (operated by Supabase Inc., a US-based company) as our database to store creator profiles, brand accounts, and campaign data. Supabase's Privacy Policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
- Resend — we use Resend (operated by Resend Inc., a US-based company) to send transactional emails such as account notifications and platform updates. Your email address is passed to Resend for this purpose. Resend's Privacy Policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Beehiiv — we use Beehiiv (operated by Beehiiv Inc., a US-based company) to manage and send The Klipstars Brief newsletter. Your name and email address are stored on Beehiiv's platform when you subscribe. Beehiiv's Privacy Policy is available at beehiiv.com/privacy.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose your data if required to do so by Indian law, a court order, or a government authority.
Important note: Klipstars displays creator social media handles (Instagram, YouTube) on our platform. These handles are publicly available on the respective social media platforms. Klipstars is not affiliated with Meta, Google, or any social media platform. We are simply displaying information that creators have voluntarily provided to us.
6. How long we keep your data
- Creator profile data is retained for as long as your profile remains active on the platform
- Brand registration data is retained for 12 months or until you request deletion
- Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe
- Website log data is retained for a maximum of 90 days
