Terms of Service — Klipstars

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Klipstars platform, website, and newsletter operated by Klipstars India ("Klipstars", "we", "us", or "our") at klipstars.com. By accessing our website, registering as a creator, registering as a brand, or subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

1. About Klipstars

Klipstars India operates klipstars.com, a creator discovery platform that connects Indian micro-influencers ("creators") with D2C brands and agencies ("brands"). We also publish The Klipstars Brief, a free weekly newsletter covering India's creator economy.

    Important — Klipstars is a discovery platform only. Klipstars facilitates introductions between creators and brands but is not a party to any agreement, contract, or transaction between them. Any collaboration, payment, or dispute between a creator and a brand is entirely between those two parties. Klipstars accepts no liability for the outcome of any brand-creator engagement that originates from our platform.
  

2. Eligibility

To use Klipstars you must:

Be at least 18 years of age
Be a resident of India or operating a business in India
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
Not be barred from using our services under applicable Indian law

By using Klipstars you confirm that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements.

3. Creator registration and profile

When you register as a creator on Klipstars you agree to the following:

Accuracy of information: All information you provide — including your name, Instagram handle, follower count, engagement rate, content niche, and sample links — must be accurate and truthful. Submitting false or misleading information is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.
Your profile is public: By registering, you consent to your creator profile — including your name, social media handles, niche, city, follower count, engagement rate, bio, and sample content links — being displayed publicly on the Klipstars website and shared with brands and agencies who access our platform.
Profile in newsletter: Klipstars may feature selected creator profiles in The Klipstars Brief newsletter as part of our Creator Spotlight section. By registering, you consent to this. We will always credit you accurately.
You remain responsible for your content: Klipstars displays links to your existing social media content but does not host, own, or control that content. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content complies with the terms of the relevant social media platforms and applicable Indian law.
Profile removal: You may request removal of your profile at any time by emailing klipstars.india@gmail.com. We will remove your profile within 7 business days of receiving your request.

4. Brand registration

When you register brand interest on Klipstars you agree to the following:

You are a legitimate business entity or authorised representative of a business operating in India
You will use creator contact information obtained through Klipstars only for legitimate brand collaboration purposes
You will not use creator data from Klipstars to build competing directories or for any purpose other than genuine brand-creator collaboration
You will treat creators with respect and professionalism in all communications
Any agreements you enter into with creators are entirely your own responsibility and Klipstars is not party to them

5. Prohibited conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on Klipstars:

Submitting false follower counts, fabricated engagement rates, or fake social media handles
Using the platform to spam, harass, or send unsolicited commercial messages to creators or brands
Scraping, harvesting, or systematically downloading creator or brand data from the platform
Impersonating another person, creator, brand, or Klipstars itself
Using the platform for any purpose that violates Indian law, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act 2000, the Consumer Protection Act 2019, or the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023
Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Klipstars platform or its data
Using the platform to promote content that is defamatory, obscene, harmful, or violates the rights of any third party

6. Content licence

By registering as a creator and submitting your profile information to Klipstars, you grant Klipstars India a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your profile information — including your name, social media handles, niche, city, follower count, engagement rate, bio, and links to your public content — on the Klipstars website, in The Klipstars Brief newsletter, and in promotional materials for the Klipstars platform.

This licence exists only for the purpose of operating the Klipstars platform and promoting it to brands and creators. You retain full ownership of all your original content. This licence terminates when you request removal of your profile.

7. The Klipstars Brief newsletter

The Klipstars Brief is a free weekly newsletter published every Tuesday
Subscription requires your explicit consent via the registration form
You may unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email
The content of The Klipstars Brief is for informational purposes only. Market data, CPM rates, and engagement benchmarks published in the newsletter are estimates based on publicly available information and Klipstars research. They should not be relied upon as financial or legal advice.
Klipstars reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the newsletter at any time without prior notice

8. Limitation of liability

Klipstars is a discovery platform only. We are not responsible for the outcome of any collaboration, agreement, payment, or dispute between a creator and a brand. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of creator follower counts or engagement rates, the suitability of any creator for any brand campaign, or the reliability of any brand or agency listed on our platform. Your use of Klipstars and any resulting brand-creator engagement is entirely at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Klipstars India shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or damage to reputation.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Klipstars website — including the platform name, logo, design, written content, newsletter content, infographics, and data visualisations — is the intellectual property of Klipstars India. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Klipstars content without our prior written permission.

The market data, CPM benchmarks, and creator economy statistics published on klipstars.com and in The Klipstars Brief are original research by Klipstars India and may not be reproduced without attribution to "Klipstars Research 2026".

10. Third-party platforms

Klipstars displays links to creator profiles on third-party platforms including Instagram and YouTube. We are not affiliated with Meta, Google, or any other social media platform. These platforms have their own terms of service and privacy policies which govern your use of them. Klipstars accepts no responsibility for the availability, accuracy, or content of any third-party platform.

11. Modifications to the platform and terms

Klipstars reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time without prior notice. We also reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Klipstars after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

12. Termination

Klipstars reserves the right to suspend or remove any creator profile or brand account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. If your profile is removed for Terms violation, we are not obligated to restore it. You may also voluntarily terminate your use of the platform at any time by requesting profile removal via email.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from your use of Klipstars shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India. We encourage you to contact us at klipstars.india@gmail.com to resolve any dispute informally before initiating legal proceedings.
